the more you know
One of the most interesting phenomena parents experience is when their young children, immediately following an accident, look to their parents’ faces to make a determination on whether or not they should feel pain and cry, and, if so, how loudly.
Parents: the appropriate response for such instances is to softly chuckle and then sip your gin & tonic approvingly. The child will jump up smiling and pain-free.
